The AP84 sensor belongs to the AP8-series K-band sensors designed for general mid-range applications. The design optimizes range, detection angle and cost in a low profile package. Designed with dual-channels, the AP8-series sensors are able to discriminate target direction. The added amplification in the receiver chain gives it 20 to 30% more range as compared to the AP81 or AP83. Typical applications include radar speed signs, traffic monitoring, sports radars. security detectors, vehicle blind-spot detectors and other applications that require general motion detection with an extended range.
